Environment and Recycling
There is a lot of media coverage about the changing environment - temperatures rising, fossil fuels diminishing, regular droughts - and we at Wilcomatic feel very strongly that we should do our bit to reduce our detrimental impact and help our clients to do the same. We have looked at all areas of our business and below is a list of some of the areas we have addressed:

Our systems:
We use internet technology to monitor car wash activity remotely. This means that we can diagnose faults as they occur and often reset machines without having to send out an engineer - this reduces downtime and means that we save money on fuel.
Engineers' vans:
They all run on diesel fuel, which has proved to have a lesser effect on the planet than unleaded fuel. They are all fitted with satellite tracking devices, meaning that shortest routes are used and the closest engineer appointed to complete a job.
Buildings:
We have undertaken surveys of our buildings to see how we can reduce our energy consumption and waste. A combination of changes to lighting, boilers and motors (air conditioning) means that we will reduce our impact on the environment by more than 50 tonnes of CO2 emissions a year (one tonne is the equivalent of one hot air balloon), so that's about a tonne each week.
